grandma in Germany.
Christine Kaufmann started her career as a an child star , the film which brought her fame was „Rosen-Resli“ released in1954. She became an international celebrity as an actress in Gottfried Reinhardt´s movie „ Stadt ohne Mitleid“ in the year 1961. For this part she won the Golden Globe Award for “New Star Of The Year-Actress”. During the filming of the movie „Taras Bulba“ Mrs. Kaufmann met one of Hollywood´s dreamboys - Tony Curtis and married him in 1963.
In 1968 she resumed her career as an actress, which she had interrupted during her marriage.
Her autobiographie „Christine Kaufmann und ich. Mein Doppelleben" has published in 2005. Kaufmann is also a successful businesswoman, promoting her own cosmetics products line, and she has written several books. She is also called the „most beautiful grandmother“.
